Douglas Cowling Office Desk

Douglas DC-8 Engine Cowling

A retired flyer is given a desk job! This transformed engine cowling comes from a Douglas DC-8, a strong rival to the legendary Boeing 707 in the golden years of the “Jet Age”. This particular aircraft had a 45-year career from 1971, we have given this part a new lease of life as an exquisite piece of furniture with an echo of art deco. The original cowling has been stripped back and polished to a dazzling finish, revealing every rivet in detail. The curved desktop is made from 20mm black gloss glass, resting on polished aluminium support brackets. The base of the desk is fitted with a black oak-veneered kick panel and the ends are capped with solid oak. A chrome data point adds a neat finishing touch.

We offer the following options: coloured glass, vinyl wrapping, remote controlled LED lights, corporate logos.
