Hurricane Jane Prop Art
They were like two beautiful sisters, one slightly older than the other but both very responsive to a pilot’s touch and equally deadly in hunting down their prey. Yes, the hurricane and spitfire were unquestionably the pin-up planes of World War 2. Once Carl had produced his graphic art tribute to the spitfire (see Merlin May), we had to ask him to depict her older sister-in-arms. The portrait of a seductive, smiling and saluting Hurricane Jane would get any airman standing to attention and dreaming of a whirlwind romance.
This striking peace of propeller art stands at five and a half feet tall and is mounted on a bespoke solid aluminium base.
